A Well-Stocked Pantry

The second installment of my mini-series, as promised, is showing you all what I keep in my pantry. I always say if ever there were a major disaster we could eat for days, weeks, even months possibly based on the amount of canned goods and pantry staples I keep. But, instead I’ll just be throwing together a pretty awesome meal that I’ll share with you on Friday.

For now, here’s a glimpse into the many pantry items I have:

What’s In My Pantry

  • dried pastas
  • spices
  • olive oil and other oils such as avocado oil and vegetable oil
  • vinegars (white, red, apple, balsamic)
  • tea/cofffee
  • canned beans (such as black bean, red kidney, white beans, pinto beans)
  • sliced olives
  • refried beans
  • canned tomatoes (crushed, diced, sauce, paste, whole peeled, stewed- always get the no-salt added kind)
  • stocks (chicken, beef, and veggie- always low sodium versions)
  • quick cook rice (white and brown)
  • quinoa, barley, egg noodles
  • soups (canned and bagged)
  • enchilada sauce
  • taco shells
  • seasoned rices (such as rice pilaf)
  • sauce and seasoning packets (peanut sauce, etc)
  • canned vegetables
  • cream of mushroom and other similar ones (celery, etc)
  • Peanut butter, Fluff, and Nutella
  • pancake mix
  • whole wheat and white flour
  • sugar, baking powder, oats, brown sugar
  • honey and vanilla extract
  • canned tuna, chicken and shrimp
  • bread crumbs

What items do you tend to keep in your pantry? Do you find you ever accidentally buy duplicates? I have about 6 boxes of chicken stock! :)
