So if it isn’t obvious from my last post and from my upcoming post for Monday that I promised, I’ve officially jumped on the Pumpkin bandwagon. I don’t know when this obsession started, but last year was the first year I went a wee out of my way to find everything pumpkin-related that I could. That poem was sheer experience folks, no make believe happenin’ there!
What may not be as obvious is that I seem to have completely ignored one of the other big fall flavors- the apple. It’s not that I dislike apples, I don’t I swear! But I don’t crave the flavor as much as pumpkin come fall. Maybe it has to do with the fact that pumpkin-flavored items are just more challenging to cook and create with- apple on the other hand makes it too easy and takes all the work out of it, no?
Anyway, I just wanted to say in the midst of all this pumpkin craziness that I have also enjoyed some yummy apple things this fall as well, including…
….apple pancakes

They may not be what ya call pretty but they sure got the job done, that being making my tastebuds and tummy very happy! Just chopped and cooked up some apple with a little sugar/Cinnamon then tossed them into the pancake batter.
…and an “Appletini” at Precinct made by the lovely bartender, Spencer
I put this in quotes as I didn’t order an Appletini per-say. As we sidled up to the bar at Precinct, one of my favorite places ever (more on that in another post), I asked Spencer to make a fall-inspired drink and this was no Apple Puckers-in-a-martini-glass-grossness at all! It was a nice mix of Grand Marnier, Apple Jack Rum, and Apple liquor with the rim of the glass lined in Cinnamon Sugar. I may have been licking the glass to get the sugar… just sayin’.
I’ve been sucking down the apple cider as well and recently saw RecipeCan’s Crock pot Hard Apple Cider recipe and am thinking that sounds amazing- so it’s now officially planned for Sunday…woo hoo!
Anyway, for you apple-lovers out there, see? I didn’t forget ya! Do you have any amazing apple recipes I must try that might make me go more apple-crazy?

Thanks for the link! hope you enjoy
